When we talk about Pakistan’s car industry, every local manufacturer has to import some parts to produce their vehicles. Therefore, when the price of the dollar goes up, they have to increase the cost of their cars. Although we do not know how they calculate the price rise factor, we do know they somehow have to increase car prices to make profits and deliver quality products.
The recent jump of the Dollar made it inevitable for the Pakistani automakers to increase car prices. Therefore, every local manufacturer appreciated their vehicle prices, including Toyota IMC, Honda, Al-Haj FAW, Isuzu, and Pak Suzuki.
The rise either relates to the appreciated price of the Dollar or due to FED imposed by the government. So, what’s the new number game in the automotive industry? I’m just copying comparison charts and press releases from Pakwheels because I think it will be a waste of time to make our own chart for the same:

Honda increased its Car Prices by Up to PKR 400,000
Toyota appreciated their prices by up to PKR 830,000
Al-Haj FAW New Prices

Apart from this, we also saw some individual price bumps. United Motors increased the price of Bravo by PRK 30,000. The KIA Grand Carnival now costs PKR 7 Lacs more.
